Getting Crafty for Chair-ity 2013

We’re going to our drawing board, otherwise known as a ‘white board’, and we’ll soon be getting out our tools, paint and paint brushes, and getting a little crafty. Yes, we’re expanding our website-building skills, and embarking on a new opportunity. We are designing chair!

Why would we want to design a chair? Simple! We’re donating our time and talents to support Chair-ity 2013, which is an annual event hosted by the South Dakota Advertising Federation. We’ve been lucky enough to be a veteran member of the SDAF, and we’re glad to be on the planning committee for this exciting event and worthy cause.

Responsive Mobile Design vs. Custom Mobile Environments

Having a responsive web site may sound like a great solution to the demand for information on the go; however, if you want your site to be fully and truly responsive, be ready to pay extra. Truly responsive web design takes many extra hours to develop, which of course increases the cost. Depending on your budget and end goals, this may not be an option. Other people believe creating a mobile app is the way to go. Although mobile apps are very popular, they do not converse as well, through the code to the original website. Plus, driving your customers to app stores to download or purchase your app is another hassle. If you provide them all of the info they need in the mobile environment, then there is no need to create an external app. After all, the main goal is to drive traffic to your website and satisfy their needs there.
